Breaking Barriers: Women In Leadership, the Balancing Act and the Path To Success

Gender equality between women and men is important in all walks of life. In this episode of Get a G.R.I.P. with Coach Elix, we talk about women in leadership and breaking barriers. Our guest, Dau Tucker, discusses the importance of the cause and how to navigate the balancing act on the path to success.

About Dau Tucker

Dau has worked in HR since she happened upon it at the age of 19. The daughter of immigrant parents, she’s worked hard over the last two decades to create paths for women to succeed in the workplace. As Chief Administrative Officer at Jet Health, CIO VIEWS magazine named her as one of the top 10 most influential HR executives in 2023.

The Importance of Women in Leadership Positions

An initiative that focuses on women in leadership roles advances women in the workplace and makes breaking barriers more feasible. Even in our modern era, women continue struggling with a pay gap, glass ceiling, and unfair stigma about their ability to raise a family while remaining productive at work.

Many women find the balancing act on the path to success difficult, but Dau believes women can have a fulfilling personal life and successful careers when their workplace focuses on empowering them. During the podcast, Dau gives specific advice for balancing work and life. It requires purpose, intention, and sacrifice, and she shares some examples from her own life.

By helping women rise to positions of leadership, everyone benefits. We can integrate a wider array of perspectives into our strategic planning, relate with employees on a different level, and inspire future generations of women leaders.

Freedom of Spirit and the Path to Success

Helping women along the path to success requires us giving them the necessary freedom of spirit. Expectations, workplace policies, and social conditioning all prevent women from achieving success at the same rate as men. By removing these barriers, we put men and women on the same playing field and promote equal opportunities for everyone.

Dau has devoted her entire adult life to this cause, and, now in a position of influence, implements effective and tangible initiatives throughout her own company. She discusses how to break down barriers, or rather, how to live a barrier-free life, and advises women about achieving their dreams. She also gives expert insights into challenges like:

  • The negative impact of a responsible leadership vacuum

  • The benefits of having women in leadership

  • Accepting that HR is not a revenue-generating department

This strategy helps people find their goals, inspirations, and visions and execute them with clear intentions through planning, purpose, and integrity. It works with science and psychology to make dreams a reality.

It is a roadmap that guides you through struggles and hardships, with the final destination being the life you want to lead or the changes you wish to make. The G.R.I.P. Method offers a plan to go from fear to freedom and helps you break away from where past attempts did not work.
