Who Is Steven F. Macek?
The multitalented Steven F. Macek has his hands in many projects and professional circles. His work as an attorney and a medium earned him a down-to-earth, knowledge-based approach to problem-solving. He understands not all occurrences require an explanation.
His life experience gives him unique insights into how different relationships work. He explores how each person plays a particular role via relationships during this episode.
What Is Relationship Building?
Identify the types of relationships in your life and where they come from:
You are born into familial relationships.
You develop platonic and romantic relationships as you grow.
Your professional relationships come from transactional connections.
Conceptual relationships, like those with ideas, thought patterns, and higher powers, form from personal beliefs.
Your relationship-building skills often start with watching your family members as a child. You’ll develop unique methods as you grow into an individual. “Right before we come onto this earth, we’re signing a contract…we’re agreeing to come back to this life,” Steven says. The relationships we build often dictate the lessons we agree to learn.
Nurturing Balanced Relationships
Relationships that are healthy and help us grow and thrive don’t typically eat into our energy levels. We grow from these connections by giving our loved ones grace based on their individual needs. While the relationships generally feel good, they still have their challenges. Those obstacles ask us to get in touch with our more nurturing side to make room for another person’s development.
Healing From and Letting Go of Hurtful Relationships
What about the draining relationships that siphon your energy and sharpen your negativity? Those connections “destroy the perspective of a person,” according to Steven.
Perhaps you’ve tried healing the relationship in healthy ways to no avail. Steven urges you to recognize, “This person is not benefiting me. I need to cut the ties.” One-sided relationships lack a strong, mutually beneficial connection. You still love the other person, but the benefits only flow one way. The negativity weakens your spirit.
The Lessons Our Spirit Learns From Relationships
Steven states that relationships “are there for us to learn from. They challenge us.” Whether the lesson involves letting go of a heavy, toxic relationship or nurturing a challenging yet rewarding one, each relationship-building decision you make influences your spiritual trajectory.
